United Nations World Wildlife Day (WWD) is held every year on 3 March to celebrate wild animals and plants. Every year, we recognise the unique roles and contributions of wildlife to people and the planet.

This year's theme is Connecting People and Planet: Exploring Digital Innovation in Wildlife Conservation.

Australia has 1700 threatened species that need your help this World Wildlife Day.

Did you know that Australia has the worst mammal extinction rate in the world? Thirty native mammals have become extinct since European settlement.

Currently in Australia, more than 1700 species and ecological communities are known to be threatened and at risk of extinction.
